Heart2Heart Challenge: Everything but the Kitchen Sink!

I am usually a card maker, but occasionally I will do other projects and scrapbook.  For this Heart2Heart challenge it had to be kitchen related and I happen to be working on the kitchen remodel page in Artie's book.  The summer after buying my house I painted the kitchen cabinets, walls, trim, everything but the kitchen sink, counters, and floors.  Artie would rub up against the paint and have teal tipped fur.  If I was working on the floor she had to sit against me.  I really should add this in a journal box on this page.

The paper stripes used are mostly from a retired collection called Happy Times.  But there is also some use of the current color of the year Bashful Glitter Paper.  These papers were layered on plain White Daisy cardstock.  The gold letters spelling out her name Artemis are left over from the wreath special in Jan 2017.

There are two stripes of Gold Shimmer Trim running in the paper stripes on each page.  There are also several Gold Glitter Gems throughout the pages.

The flowers poking through the stripes are from the retired coordinating stamp set Happy Times.  They were inked with Tangerine, Sweet Leaf, Canary, Glacier, Raspberry, Fern, and Bashful inks.  The flowers with the larger heart were cut from the patterned paper.  The stamped sentiments were stamps also part of the retired coordinating stamp set Happy Times.

The hearts were cut using the Thin Cuts - Basic Hearts middle two sizes out of Raspberry cardstock.  Thin cuts are on an incredible sale with bigger bundle sales this month with the Die-namite Celebration.  All the pennant shapes were hand cut using the ruler and piercing tool to mark the center inside point and cutting to that mark from the corners.    The Glacier paper pennant was also embossed with the Rose Embossing Folder.  Some of these layers on both pages were attached with Thin 3-D Foam Tape and the regular 3-D Foam Tape.

Happy Crafting,
Alex
