Back Again

"I been gone for a minute, now I'm back again".  End of the school year, knee surgery, summer travels, and life has slowed my roll.  I have been crafting just not posting.  I will catch that up in a bit with a huge post of all the random cards I have made.  But today I got the bug to rejoin some challenge blogs.  To restart I worked on something simple from the Color My Heart Color Dare #301 with a Poppy, Lemon, and Willow challenge.

This is standard card base with a 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 poppy background underneath a white daisy embossed with the rose embossing folder.

I left the embossing off the bottom edge to stamp the sentiment "SO HAPPY FOR YOU" from the set Many Congratulations with willow ink.  The ink colors used are also poppy, lemon, and willow for the flowers. All of the flowers, their layers, and leaf stems are from the Beautiful Friendship - Scrapbooking stamp set.

A scrap of old poppy twine was used to make a bow line through the middle of the card and underneath a foam raised flower panel.

Happy Crafting,
Alex

  4. Great idea leaving the bottom of the card without the embossing for your sentiment...clever and I will have to remember that. May usual is to cover embossing with a sentiment tag. Alex, the Three Amigos is all about embossing this month...you may want to include your card in that challenge too.
